This is the kind of book that you tell your friends about, one that will win readers by word of mouth. Lorrie is tough and vulnerable, unconventional and deeply human, taking on a solo trip through northern Ontario on her Harley-Davidson. As she challenges herself physically and psychologically in the northern terrain, she also challenges herself to reveal what her life was like growing up in her family, especially with her parents Bev and Erik. As fascinating as The Glass Castle or The Liars Club, but more honest, more searing, she explores what it's like to grow up in a family where the parents' needs come first and comes to terms with her own story.
